In early 1974, our first President (and first Life Member), Rev. Clem Minge, placed a notice in the local newspaper 'The Advertiser' for Mercedes-Benz drivers who may be interested in forming a Club. A meeting was scheduled for 2pm on Sunday 30th June 1974. Eleven vehicles turned up at that meeting - after a short discussion and upon a motion being put forward, it was resolved that a club be formed.
At a second meeting on 15th July 1974 18 dedicated owners attended and the Club was born. We now have over 250 members (including 17 life members and over 80 who have been members for 10 + years) and among those members a base of several hundred vehicles, spanning from such early cars as a 1913 Benz Tourer to a range of current model vehicles. We have in fact seen a surge in the number of new members joining the club in the first half of 2012.
Social outings include (but are not limited to): Informal monthly runs, organised outings, driving events, show and shine events, visits to local workshops/car collections, major events such as National Rallies and our general monthly meetings.

Leyland P76 Owners Club Of Victoria is always looking for more keen P76 enthusiasts or those who wish to own one of these great Australian cars. The club conducts a yearly concours and a number other events, membership is very reasonably priced and the club is fully insured.
We are a predominantly social club; however member benefits include eligibility to apply for historic registration, a wide range of technical services, a professionally printed bi-monthly magazine and a family friendly atmosphere in which we encourage celebration and preservation of the heritage of Mercedes-Benz.
