Formed in 1975, the Queensland Branch of the Buick
Car Club of Australia is open
to anyone with an interest in the restoration
and preservation of Buick motorcars. You don't
need to own a Buick to join, just have an interest
in the marque! Our club caters for all years and models,
the range of vehicles owned by our members spanning
the earliest iterations to some of the more modern,
many of which are driven as "daily drivers".
Affiliated with the Queensland Combined Council of
Historic Vehicles
Clubs Inc., togther we actively combat
government pressure and regulations which could seriously
limit the operations of the Vintage and Specialist
motor vehicle movement in years to come. We enjoy a
great social atmosphere where the motor car, and
particularly the Buick motor car, is the focus. Member's
have the opportunity to mix with fellow motoring enthusiasts,
either at one of our many events, club runs, rallies,
swap meets, parties or monthly meetings. Collectively members
have a wealth of knowledge, particularly on restoring
cars, and they are only too happy to share this knowledge
with you!
The Club is a great forum for exchanging
ideas on vehicle restoration and often Club Members
will assist each other finding those hard to get
parts or services. The Club maintains an extensive
Library of Manuals and technical information for your
car which is generally available at a very nominal
cost for photocopying of selected pages, or reproduction
Workshop Manuals and other publications are available
for sale. Other Buick Clubs or Registers are in New
South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, USA , Canada,
England and New Zealand.
